I am a huge fan of Jean-Michel Jarre and you are certainly putting your neck on the line covering this, it's a well loved and recognized (in Europe) song (a bit like allowing a college student access to the original star wars tapes and then saying go ahead and touch this up any way you want - possible death by sci-fi geek awaits if it goes Pete Tong) - but wait, this is MultiMike, so no worries - and as usual it comes off brilliantly. I once had a synth music CD played by some synth whizzkid with Blade Runner and Pulstar and the usual synth classics etc and your version kills that highly produced, done with an amazing array of synths version etc.
So, I love it.
Although I have to also add that JMJ's version will always be king (sorry ) because of what he had at the time (no sequencing,no MIDI, analog 8 track tape with bounces, everything played in by hand, old analog synths that go out of tune regularly etc)
But your version is my official best cover version

AwEsOmE DAD!!! Just AwEsOmE!!!

I guess Leeds covered it best...
I do have to repeat though that everything is just sounding GREAT!!!
The Production...
The Playing...
The added touches with effects etc...
Fantastic detail...
I guess something that always fascinated me is the way you would sit down an listen to a piece like this with a pen & paper then manually score each part in music notation...
AMAZIN...

Well Done Again DAD... You do me PROUD!!!

Awesome sounds you have created on this one. I'm especially loving that plump bass thats in just the right spot in the mix. I've never heard the original, but it reminds me of an artist named Kitaro that I used to listen too.
I'm a bit curious to hear how this might sound with a little more reverb on some of the main synths in front to give it a more spacey feel. But it sounds great already. Really great mixing on this.

You seem to take great pride in your work, and your attention to detail is wonderful. It never seems like anything is out of place or overdone. This one is new to me, too, but I can't imagine it being done any better.

Im old enough to remember this and remember that my dad bought the album ( he was pretty cool then ... he scratches himself in strange places now so he has lost the cool title )...but I was blown away by this as a kid and man have you done it proud. Didnt they use this in the film "midnight express" ?? Your talent is awe inspiring..just brilliant ...beautiful patch choices and played with a dedication to perfection.

I've been into electronic music for quite some time, yet for some reason the works of Jean Michel Jarre have eluded me other than maybe an off track on a comp. However, upon hearing your track, I HAVE to make a point to listen to his works. Great composition!!!!

The 1976 song by Jarre is from one of the most influential electronic albums ever. To cover it (and pay attention to the structure in the original so well) is awesome enough, the synths sound great and the beat is almost identical. This is like a remastered version and anyone who hasn't heard the original by Jarre should go find a copy and hear how well this compares to it.

I'm convinced you MUST have a real studio Every note tone level is perfect amazing! That being said you still have to play the song and you nailed Mike sounds like you put a lot of time into this one too. Every instrument plays off each other there's no fighting for space great talent All your tracks are ready for sale. From a home recording studio you get sooooooo much! Great job.

Movie soundtrack material... It sounds like something that should have been in Blade Runner... This is very cool, the production is incredible... I like it very much and you've done a master's work with this! I wish I could do covers... It's impossible for me to, though... But this is awesome work, Mike!

JMJ being my but far my favorite musician and inspiration, and though I would imagine it is hard to top the master, this is very nicely done. Several people covered this tune over the years and I never really liked any of them. This one's another story.
