Back in 1972 I went out on a date and invited a friend of mine with his pretty girlfriend to join us, I had ELP Trilogy playing on my car stereo at the time, when the track "From The Beginning" started to play my eyes met my friends girlfriends eyes in my rear view mirror and I instantly fell in love with her.........I married that pretty girl, I knew then that she was meant to be here......From The Beginning
Howard.....I thank you with all my heart for your vocals on this great ELP track
Multimike played all guitars, synths and programming

Against my will someone once played me ELP (the more indulgent stuff) for 4 hours straight and I've avoided them ever since. So I'm more than slightly surprised that I found this so enjoyable. Wonderful performance and production, you should feel justly proud.

ELP had some great songs in amongst all the OTT musical wankery they were sometimes guilty of, and this version really shines and sounds excellent. I love the mix, great vocals and acoustic chords in particularly and tasteful solo. Just awesome

WAW... just love the crispness & pure quality of that acoustic guitar work - perfection!
Lead guitar work has proper 70's classic overdriven sound & them harmonics are delightful.
All the analog leads are full-on ELP & I have to say this is brillantly done cover - great vox Howard, your voice really suits this style so well & your roll is top-notch.
Tight & inspirational - nice work guys!

P.S. Love the story... makes the song even more listenable!

BIG COMPLIMENTS and hats off for this cover. If I never had listened to before this theme I could easily say this is yours. Just FANTASTIC combination of voice-instruments. My only observation is toward the mastering of the voice of NoSmoking, sounds masked.

i'm listening again and again when i pop onto dm and i have to say that this is one of the best covers i've ever heard - it's not that you nailed the cover - the music - but the feeling, the emotional draw is there, too. is it just nostagia? no, but i have a good story that i can't tell outloud here!! thx so much for this song.

Okay, what is an ELP? Are they on DMusic? NOOO?? Then who cares? This is a sweet song, dedicated to a lovely lady... beautiful guitar, and some lovely little sounds in there from I know not what-- except I know they come from the heart. And Howard? You are such a softie...
